Spike Hedgehog Box

The Spike Hedgehog Box - made by wildlife and birdcare is our own design, a large hedgehog box made from 18mil thick larch for additional installation.  Comes with one internal wall built with a 130x130mm entrance.  A OSB floor, waterproof lid made from green felt, 4 feet ad a waterproofed floor.  

It is advisable that you place your hog box out of water, either on a patio tile or some other surface so it’s not directly on the dirt, this will help to keep the box dray.  Cover with some foliage and keep her food nearby undercover but not in this box.  The lid is removable for cleaning. 

Add some meadow hay for them to nest and rest.  A hedgehog box is ESSENTIAL for all community gardens as the hedgehogs are in decline and need our help, a box will keep them safe from predators.
